Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) lives in New Orleans and dreams of opening a fine dining restaurant someday. She is thrown off track when she comes across Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), who has been cursed by Dr Facilier and turned into a frog. Naveen believes Tiana is a princess who can break his spell. However, when the slick talking amphibian plants a kiss on her, she turns into a frog as well.

It marked the 49th Disney animated feature film. The storyline took inspiration from the novel The Frog Princess by E. D. Baker, which had been inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale 'The Frog Prince'. The story was written and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. The voices featured include that of Anika Noni Rose, Bruno Campos, Keith David, Michael-Leon Wooley, Jennifer Cody, and Jim Cummings, with Peter Bartlett, Jenifer Lewis, Oprah Winfrey, Terrence Howard, and John Goodman.

The box office release was a huge success with it coming in first place in sales its opening weekend. The film brought in $271 million worldwide. It also received three Academy Award nominations at the 82nd Academy Awards: one for Best Animated Feature and two for its achievement in music.
