The Cloverfield Paradox is the third film in the loosely connected Cloverfield anthology film series. As with the previous two films, Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane, the movie shares a fictional universe, but focuses on different characters and a different story, with similar supernatural and science fiction twists throughout, as well as narrative connecting threads between the films tying their stories together to flesh out the alternate universe in which they take place. The plot revolves around a space station where a team of scientists work to solve the planet-wide energy crisis on Earth, which has led mankind to the brink of an all out war between nations. Through their testing with unstable particles, the scientists accidentally damage the station and open an interdimensional rift to an alternate universe, much like their own. Will this sudden breakthrough prove to be the solution they need or is this the beginning of a far more dangerous and frightening reality for the crew?
