movie facts

The name Artemis is borrowed from Greek mythology where the goddess was born and kept secret in order to protect her from the vengeful Hera. Generally associated with animals and hunting, Artemis is the twin sister of the more well-known Apollo. This film marks the first for Jodie Foster in more than 5 years as she has not been seen on the big screen since 2013’s Elysium. She had taken time off to carve out a bit of a career as a director, making well-known projects such as Money Monster, which was released in May 2016 and starred George Clooney and Julia Roberts.
