movie facts

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck had been childhood friends before they event started on their journey towards Hollywood stardom. Good Will Hunting has enjoyed several award nominations as well as recurring recognition. The screenplay, famously written by Damon and Affleck, had its origins from Matt’s 40-page script that was his final project for his drama class. Trying to get the film made had the two aspiring actors hit some road bumps – Castle Rock had them do multiple rewrites to the story and they struggled to find a good director. Despite the back-and-forth that Damon and Affleck experienced before premiering their film, it paved their shining careers as A-list Hollywood actors.
