movie facts

Known for his comedic stints and his prowess for the genre, Justin Long has played roles in Jeepers Creepers (2001), Dodgeball (2004), and Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007), in which he voiced the titular character, Alvin. Long was born and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, with two other male siblings. His father, R. James Long is an academic specializing in philosophy and Latin at Fairfield University. His mother Wendy Lesniak is a former actress who has once conquered the stage.

Before venturing into the world of entertainment, Long first played roles in several plays at his college. Although he enjoys a celebrated status in the comedy genre, Long’s personal life, just like any other actor’s, is not as warm and fuzzy beneath the surface. Long had a romantic relationship with Drew Barrymore in 2007, but it ended abruptly after a year. He then gave romance another try with Amanda Seyfried in 2013, but their relationship lasted for only two years. A year after their breakup, Long began going exclusive with Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry but it did not last long enough. In 2016, Long also forayed into politics to endorse Senator Bernie Sanders for President in the U.S. presidential election.
