movie facts

Man of Steel serves as a reboot of the Superman film franchise, following in the footsteps of the Christopher Reeves led series of films, and another previous reboot starring Brandon Routh. It is also the first film in what DC Comics have built as a new cinematic universe for their characters, akin to what Marvel has created with their numerous films over recent years. Additionally, these films have since seen the inclusion of a new take on Batman, following the Christopher Nolan trilogy, as well as the introduction of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the formation of the Justice League, along with several iconic villains and antiheroes in the film Suicide Squad.
