movie facts

Sleepless was a box office flop. It earned just barely over its $30 million budget. Despite being a bad move on his part, Jamie Foxx is still a notable actor with an impressive acting resume. Foxx began as a stand-up comic, aspiring as early as the third grade, doing stand-up for his elementary school classes. Moving to Los Angeles, he was able to be cast on a television sketch show called “In Living Color”. He won his first Oscar for Best Actor for his portrayal of blues singer Ray Charles. He went on to receive a supporting actor nomination for “Collateral”, the same year he won his Oscar.
