Detectives Allison Kerry, played by Dina Meyer, and Eric Matthews, played by Donnie Wahlberg, are called to the aftermath of Jigsaw’s latest trap where there is a message waiting for Matthews. The pair, along with Sergeant Daniel Rigg, played by Lyriq Bent, lead a SWAT team to the factor that produced a lock from one of the traps. They find a waiting John Kramer, played by Tobin Bell, the Jigsaw killer, who has seen cancer take a toll on his body. He shows them a bunch of monitors that are recording his latest game, featuring eight people, including the only known person to survive one of his traps, Amanda Young, played by Shawnee Smith, and Eric’s own son Daniel.
