movie facts

The film continues the tradition of the original trilogy with two of the biggest actresses, Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, taking the spot of two Hollywood A list actors (George Clooney and Brad Pitt). The film is seen as a spinoff sequel to the main films in the Ocean’s series. Despite this, original director Steven Soderbergh and longtime composer David Holmes did not return. Much like the film’s star Debbie Ocean, Sandra Bullock speaks German fluently. This was made a key plot point when Bullock’s character uses German to make up her fake journalist persona. The films iconic character Daphne Kluger was originally set to be played by Jennifer Lawrence.
