movie facts

Although the events of the film are fictional, director Christian Gudegast revealed in an interview that the plot was inspired by real-life bank robberies. They took on technical advisors like Bill Rehder, author of the book Where the Money Is, which details an L.A. bank robbery. They delved into further research by interviewing people from the LAPD, the military, as well as a former leader of Hell’s Angels. They also utilized the real location of the film’s set up in order to map the bank as realistically as possible. The film has been stuck for ten years, with the story being written in the mid-2000s.
